Associate Professor Zhang Lie of the Academy of Arts and Design at Tsinghua University led the overall planning and design of the China Pavilion's exhibition at the Beijing International Horticultural Exhibition 2019
The Beijing International Horticultural Exhibition 2019 was officially opened on April 29th. The joint design team led by Associate Professor Zhang Lie, from the Department of Information Art and Design of the Academy of Arts and Design, Tsinghua University, led the overall planning and design of the China Pavilion's exhibition.




The China Pavilion is one of the main pavilion of the Beijing International Horticultural Exhibition 2019. It combines static display with dynamic interpretation according to the exhibition concept of “Living and Splendid China”, matches physical flower art with virtual artistic conception, pursues the long history of Chinese horticulture, watches the brilliant masterpieces of China’s horticulture, and appreciates the rhythm and vitality of mountains, rivers, forests, fields and lakes.




The exhibition area of the China Pavilion is divided into four major areas, including the theme exhibition named “China’s eco-cultural exhibition”, with horticulture as the carrier, and is arranged in turn around “Harmony between Human and Nature”, “Different Inviting Sights”, “Gentle Breeze on a Spring River”,”Harmonious Scenery”, “Tranquil Hideaway” and ”Living in Harmony”. These contents have been arranged from ancient to the present, from China to the world, and create a wonderful communication space which gradually shows the development achievements of China’s horticultural ecological culture inheritance and innovation.
