The 10th Annual S. - T. Yau College Student Mathematics Contests Closes
Tsinghua students won 4 gold, 3 silver, and 10 bronze medals
On the evening of May 27th, the two-day 10th annual S. - T. Yau College Student Mathematics Contests closed in Beijing. Attending the awarding ceremony were Chen Xu, Chairperson of Tsinghua University Council, 15 academicians including Academician Shing-Tung Yau, Director of the Yau Mathematical Sciences Center, Tsinghua University, Academician Yang Le of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Academician Guo Boling of the Beijing Institute of Applied Physics and Computational Mathematics, and 32 international judges including Professor Wilfried Schmid of Harvard University and Professor Wang Mudao of Columbia University.

In this competition, Tsinghua students achieved great success and won 17 individual and group awards in total, including four gold, three silver, and ten bronze medals. Among them, the Tsinghua team consisting of five undergraduate students, Chen Rui, Cao Zhengxiong, Huang Wei, Hu Qixuan, and Jiang Ningjun, all from the Department of Mathematical Sciences, won the team gold medal. In addition, Bu Chenjing, an undergraduate student of the Department of Mathematical Sciences, performed outstandingly and won two gold, one silver, and one bronze medals.
