THUASA Africa Day
Last week on Friday, May 25th, Tsinghua African Student Association (THUASA) held THUASA Africa Day – an event to celebrate the African continent. The Association invited students to come and experience African cultures and gain some insight into that continent on a socioeconomic level.

During the event, students had the opportunity to listen to an in-depth panel discussion on the role of African students in Sino-African relations. The panel covered various topics including what China offers to young Africans in terms of training and growth as professionals, as well as advice to young scholars on how they can implement what they have learned at Tsinghua back home.
The discussion was followed by engaging performances from an up-and-coming musician, Kanala, as well as a South Sudanese dance and a Ghanaian dance. Finally, at the end of the evening, President Zougrana of the Association presented the new leadership of THUASA and invited the audience to enjoy some of the traditional foods that the Association had prepared.
THUASA Africa Day was an event which provided a bridge to promote mutual understanding between the African students and other students on campus.
